Founded in 2009 by UK Casting Director Peter Hunt, ActUpNorth has grown to be one of the largest and most successful independent training programmes for actors outside of London. ActUpNorth is the leading provider of part-time actor training across the North of England offering adult acting classes in Leeds, Liverpool and Manchester, taught exclusively by professional Drama UK accredited tutors.
About Us
The team of highly skilled staff offer a unique syllabus to prepare actors for the best start to break into the industry and provide additional guidance from invited guest tutors and industry professionals.
The adult acting classes welcome all levels of ability as the school believe that each student selected onto the course has something unique and individual to offer to the group. Entry onto the programme is via group audition, whilst previous experience is not essential, the process allows the school to assess the actor’s ability and offer its expertise on how to help each student grow as an individual.
The school’s recent partnership with the leading ‘Academy of Live and Recorded Arts, London (ALRA), will ensure actors benefit from enhanced professional support and training throughout the course.
