Joel is an actor born, raised, and based in Lancaster.
He made his screen debut at the age of 6 playing Thomas Alcock in Jimmy McGovern’s ‘The Lakes’ (BBC). As a child he also worked with the Royal Shakespeare Company and Northern Broadsides.
He has extensive experience working in TV and Film, mostly recently as Gordy Adam in George Clooney’s ‘The Boys in the Boat’ (MGM), in ‘Les Miserables’ (Universal), Tolkien (Fox Searchlight), and ‘Arthur and Merlin’ and ‘Behind the Lines’ (Picture Perfect).
On TV he is known as murderer Kyle Williams in the third series of ‘The Bay’ and Stanislav Radimsky in ‘The Halcyon’ (ITV). He also played Ricksy Hicks in ‘Eastenders’ and has appeared in ‘Casualty’, ‘Ladhood’ and ‘Doctors’ (BBC); as well as ‘The Royals’ (E!) and ‘Ransom’ (CBS)
In 2024, Joel founded Ginnel Pigs Theatre Company with the company’s first work in development for 2025.
