Megan Parkinson

Megan is an actor, writer, and director from West Yorkshire.

After training with the National Youth Theatre, she went on to star as Alys Karstark in Game of Thrones and Sam Murgatroyd in Ackley Bridge. Her other television credits include Rules of the Game, C.B. Strike, To Walk Invisible, Holby City, and Harlots. She is currently a full-time dramatised audiobook producer at Behear, creating immersive productions with full ensemble casts, sound design, and original music.

Megan is also a published author. Her debut novel, Melodramatic, was released in August 2023, followed by its prequel, Waiting for Monday, in August 2024. In 2025, she expanded into theatre writing with two stage works: Odd Fellows and Playlist to the Apocalypse.

Her voice credits include narrating the audiobook of Melodramatic for Audible, voicing I.C. in Barry Hutchison’s Invisible Fiends series, and the Silver Sorceress in Ella Summers’ Phoenix Dynasty series.

Her theatre credits include Lancelot Gobbo in The Merchant of Venice, Cathy in Wuthering Heights, and Mary in Consensual, all performed as part of the National Youth Theatre Rep Company’s West End season at the Ambassadors Theatre.
