Ryan Clayton (BA Acting)

Ryan trained as an actor at ALRA – ‘Academy of Live and Recorded Arts’ under the guidance of David Crowley and Peter Hunt. Ryan studied in depth many of practises and techniques he now gets to teach himself at ActUpNorth.

Ryan has a strong background in theatre working at venues such as the Bolton Octagon and Manchester’s Royal Exchange. Ryan is best known for his TV roles on shows such as ‘Coronation Street’ playing villain Josh Tucker and can currently be seen as series regular Mike Rutherford on hit BBC show ‘Waterloo Road’.
